Meet Our Diamond Creek Team

Asela

Asela Senanayake (Optometrist)

Asela, a University of Auckland graduate, has been in private practice across New Zealand and Australia since 2009. He became the principal optometrist at Diamond Valley Optical in 2017. His expertise includes managing acute red eyes, co-managing glaucoma, and specialising in complex contact lens fits like Keratoconus and Ortho-K. As a behavioural optometrist, he also focuses on children’s vision care.

Asela is a member of the OAA, ACBO, and OSO, and contributes to optometry training at the University of Melbourne. Outside of work, he is dedicated to his family and takes a holistic approach to eye care.

Nhi Chanh

Nhi Chanh

Nhi has been a valued member of Diamond Valley Optical since 2020, having transitioned from an optical dispenser to a knowledgeable and compassionate optometrist. Nhi graduated with the Doctor of Optometry from the University of Melbourne where she has gained updated clinical knowledge and experience including in rural Victoria, hospitals and ophthalmology practices. She has a passion for general optometry for all ages with a special interest in ocular diseases and paediatric eye care.

Shaylan

Shaylan Hollis

Shaylan, the newest optical assistant, quickly adapted despite not having an optical background. She has built strong relationships with regular clients and is known for her excellent customer service and empathy. Outside of work, she volunteers at the local Red Cross, so you may also see her there.

Rosie Marenos

Rosie Marenos

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Rosie to the wonderful at Diamond Valley Optical. Rosie has been a resident of Greensborough for over 30 years and have had many years in the optical industry. From a reception job with Coles & Garrard Northland to completing an apprenticeship in 2010, she continues to truly love her job and takes pride in what she’s learnt along the way. Rosie offers a highly skilled background in repairs with the ability to fix the non-fixable. She has extensive experience in personalised spectacle frame fittings. In her personal life, Rosie is a very proud mum of 2 awesome songs. She loves cooking, cleaning (yes it’s true!), the Western Bulldogs football team, animals of all types & CHEESE! Please come in and say hi as she would love you meet you all.
